Winter Solstice

Today is Winter Solstice; the shortest day of the year, but also the day that marks the beginning of light pushing against the borders of darkness. From here the days will creep ever outwards, the sun shining a few minutes longer until we once again don't have to scuttle home before darkness falls at 5pm. We won't notice it at first: we'll still feel like falling asleep far too early, but sure enough almost imperceptibly light will once again rule our days.

It's a good time for a beginning I think, for working alongside the sun to beat other kinds of darkness too, so that one day the light will once again outweigh all else.

Video || April 2017 Roadtrip

In April we went on a roadtrip adventure through three different states. We visited the most easterly point of the country, climbed Australia's tallest mountain, went to a Lumineers concert, saw the Twelve Apostles along the Great Ocean Rd and had plenty of other adventures in between.

My second lot of film photos came in the other day and the focus is a little bitter than last time! Yay! There were some photos that I really loved in this roll along with the character the imperfections give them.
