The Red Queen.

Hey beautiful people!

Sorry for the lack of posts since my birthday but I have decided to make it up to you today with a post I'm really excited about. If you read this post you'll remember I recently rediscovered my love of self-photoshoots. So I did another one last night before I went out to a friends birthday party. Here are some of the pictures!

Too many photos not enough room!
I did a crown braid and put in fake red and black flowers & curled the bottom half of my hair.

Flatlay of what I wore: black stockings, black boots, red skater dress, black and red flowers in hair and a metal collar necklace.

My favourite photo from the night, not even edited! I felt like it looked really magical.

If you're wondering why the lighting in this is so weird it's because it was night time so I had to improvise without natural light! I turned on my reading light on my bed instead and shone it straight on me. I think it worked really well and gave the photos a really magical effect. My definite favourite is the last one I posted, I don't know quite what it is about the photo but it makes me feel like maybe I was about to go to a ball or something of that sort. I sure wish I was! I felt enough like a princess for it to be true, but instead it was just a friends birthday party. I didn't really enjoy the party that much and the highlight of the night was definitely taking all these photos! I'm really glad I put aside the time to take them.

Why can't balls be a common occurrence in society!? I think they would just make life so much more magical. For now I'm just left to my dreaming. A girl can dream right?

I hope you all had a magical night as well.

Over and out,
Erin.

  1. Your dress looks lovely :) I'm currently reading Pride and Prejudice (for fun haha) and just imagine how fun it would be to get all fancy and sophisticated for a ball!

I browsed through your previous posts and am also interested in doing the 10 Days of Childhood tag. My birthday is also coming up haha

  5. Lovely pictures! They do have a certain magical charm to them. They make me think you're a young maiden in Arthur's Court.
